The Circular Saw bare unit is a cordless circular saw. It would be used mainly by trade professionals. It is a lightweight compact design and features a rubber comfort grip handle for an increased easy hand hold. The comfort grip is beneficial for jobs which last for an extended period-of-time as it helps to reduces sores and fatigue. The compact lightweight design allows the saw to be stored in your workshop, site or in your work vehicle, without taking up too much room. The size and weight enables you to independently lift and carry it. Supplied as a bare unit without the battery.

I bought it to replace a similar DeWalt saw and upon first use I instantly noticed the improvement in quality, this Makita is capable of a deeper cut than the DeWalt eventhough they both use the same size blade. I particularly like the electronic brake and the LED work light. Dust is ejected to the side and not all over you (like the DeWalt!) Adjustments to the soleplate for cutting depth an bevel cuts can be achieved quickly without using any tools - it's just a little 1/4 turn lever for each. Very well designed.
