Handy little tool

Works well and reasonably priced

As usual Makita products are good.It’s like a can of paint.It does what it says.

Excellent bit of kit. Easy to set up and use. Haven't used all bases yet , but will do eventually. Nice and comfortable in the hand. I'm using 5ah batteries, but haven't used it continuously to determine battery life. Overall very pleased!!

Had to get replacement as first power unit failed.

Very comprehensive set of bases which will allow numerous functions not possible before. Looking forward to putting them through their paces. The trimmer itself is very quiet in operation

A beautifully designed and constructed tool set. The motor is smooth and powerful making the router a pleasure to use. It is the right weight for controlling whilf doing fine work. Very quick and easy to set up and adjust. Excellent all round.

i have still not received my order which was due 16th November and i have to keep contacting FFX and still no conformation on when it will be due i think they need to work on their customer service

Expensive but beautifully thought out and made. So much easier than fussing with mains cables. As with makita saw, used by several builders I know for years so durability not in doubt.

Great little machine ideal to leave set up for jobs where you don’t have any mains power on site.

Really good tool so many uses

Cracking little palm router that really works well with the plunge base. Rarely find myself needing to reach for the corded 1/2 anymore.

Well balanced and great extra bases

I have two of these no problems excellent choice

So far so good. Usual well built and solid Makita build, and good power for a 1/4” cordless. Only used one of the bases so far but has been super little tool for trimming edge of a new mobile bench (probably pushing it since it was two layers of 18 mm ply) and putting a chamfer on a number of items of ply and hardwood edge trim. Looking forward to using it on more projects.

Great set but you’ve got to be using it a lot to justify the spend. Needs extraction or you just can’t see the piece after a few seconds.

Although some of it maybe a bit cheap this is an excellent router the LED light make it great to use on detail jobs plus 4 bases make it just a superb buy. I borrowed this once from a friend went straight out and bought one for myself. Super great value ;)

Absolutely awesome machine for its size and power. Does the work of a mains version without complaint and the kit makes it even more versatile. My old Elu can finally go into retirement.

Purchase and delivery straightforward as usual with FFX. Quality appears consistent with most of my past experience of Makita, plus numerous other user reviews. But ask me again about own experience of use and build-quality/ accuracy in a couple of year's time... Instant gratification can be very misleading!

This is a gift for my husband who is a carpenter/ joiner. Can’t say more than that as he’s the one who’ll be using it. But it is what he wanted to add to his tools.

Look online for a while trying to find the best deal, being a sole trader cost is important, and FFX was the best value and the delivery was quick as well. Would definitely be using them again. 👍

Great tool to have as its so user friendly & because its battery powered no leads to worry about. I've only used the trimming base & the main router base, its handled both operations really well & hasn't struggled for battery life, I would recommend minimum use of a 4 ah battery & it will handle most things.

no quarter inch collet with my product but looks and sounds nice i bet the tool would work fantastic if I could fit a router bit ! O wait I cant NO COLLET.!

Lovely trimmer, handy when I am doing doors, love not having to drag a lead around all day. All the extras are brilliant too

Great tool should have brought one age’s ago

Having owned the cabled option for years, absolutely loved it compared to others due to the lower weight of the router, which wont make your hands tired using it all day. Now purchased the battery option, slightly heavier (due to the battery), but there are no extensions and the power cord is not in your way. This speeds up the work and gives you more flexibility! Love it! The router is light, which wont make you hands tired using it all day long and battery option is great as the power cable wont be in your way!!!

Most of my kit is Makita 18v and I bought to do a specific job, as it had the offset base which can get close into a corner and also It's a good solid piece of kit and did the job effortlessly though there is no height adjustment on the offset base. I will be definitely be using it many times more.

It's a beauty with many standard add-on's in the box.

I have a 110 volt Makita router trimmer, I've used a cordless trimmer and found it to be as good if not better than the corded version. no restraints on power supply access.

super value - bit early to do a review really - but it was just what I was looking for - no awkward leads to get caught just at the wrong time. Makita batteries (5.0ah) are second to none... If your going to invest in a system this is the one.. The power on the LXT range enhances productivity dramatically - Did an outdoor job in two freezing cold days - only had to change one battery!
