I'd previously bought one of these for my son and it has the same problem I've fitted a piece of self adhesive sponge to the drill which rectifies the problem but a bit disappointing to have to do this

This version is slightly shorter in the barrel than the previous, making it easier to use in tight spaces. If it performs anything like the first I will be very happy. A lot of bang for your buck.

Chris Mckenzie, 13/11/2021This is my second DCD796 purchased as my two and a half year old one has issues with its chuck that Dewalt won't cover under warranty. It was cheaper to get a new bare unit to replace it, which seems bonkers but have a big set of Dewalt tools and switching to another brand would be costly. The DCD796 is a good product don't get me wrong and will keep the old one to use purely as a hammer drill as I think this is what take it out on the chuck.

leslie coulter, 13/08/2021the product itself is an excellent piece of equipment, the only thing I can say is the postage service offered by FFX left a lot to be desired as the main purpose for ordering from FFX was the next day delivery, which in my case did not happen and I had to start chasing FFX up and even then I was not satisfied by the response I got from FFX.
